This is page 2 of a 13 page preview issue I'm doing of my creator owned comic, Fang.
Looking for a colorist to color the 13 pages of the preview. Pitching the preview as a film. I'm looking to secure a budget for the book itself.
If you are interested, let me know and I will send you the big file to color over.
This IS a contest. The winner will get to color the preview. Payment on this is deferred until I get funding. Why should you do this for free for now, you ask? I'm doing it in my free time, too. Sure, I own it, but I have work to do myself. I already have interest from several film studios, waiting to see the product, and I have a publisher lined up already.
If you're not interested in working on this for free for now, don't bitch to me about how I'm not paying. I AM paying, just not right now, unless your page rate is ridiculously low, and I can pay you out of pocket. I'm working on this while I'm doing paying work, because I know I have a market and fan base waiting for this project. As soon as I get some cash, you will be the first paid. That being said, here's the goods on the project...
The style I'm looking for is Disney animation-like. Kind of a painted background with basic animation style colors for the figures. I'm not sure it's 100% what I want, so if you want to do a piece of the page first so I can see if it's what I really want, that's fine. I'm willing to work this out with anyone who is willing to work with me. If you have anything like this already in your portfolio, send me a link to your work, so I can figure out who to use.
This is going to end up being a pretty big project, and I fully intend to bombard the market with my book when it's done. This preview will be available as a webcomic, then a hard copy, which will be available to purchase at a later date. I'm also providing a previously colored version of Fang, so you know what his colors are.
As for this page, it's night, London, and Fang and the vampire hunter are on top of a church tower, getting ready to fight. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
